Captrust representative, Nick DeSenso, explains why the organization chose Read and Feed as the 2017 Charity of Choice.

The story of Read and Feed –and the message of how reading helps improve confidence and the ability for children to change the trajectory of their path in life–resonated with us. Without proper nutrition or at least the absence of hunger, it is difficult for the growing minds of children to learn. Read and Feed helps fill the gap of both hunger and the ability for children to access help with reading. It also allows children to receive a steady and positive influence in the mentor who works with them consistently.

And most importantly, what we loved about Read and Feed was the accessibility the program offers. What’s better than to go to the children?
